HEALTHCARE FREEDOM OF CHOICE ACT
For Immediate Release
March 22, 2010
(Oklahoma City, OK) Many expected the disappointing vote on the unconstitutional health care bill in the US House of Representatives. Yes, it proves again how much our personal freedoms are being stripped away. But, do NOT be discouraged. The battle is not over.
Earlier in the Oklahoma legislative session, I met with State Representative Dr. Mike Ritze, who is also a family physician, to put together HJR 1054. This legislation is a safety net to protect the citizens of Oklahoma against the unconstitutional health care legislation passed by Congress on March 21st.
This is another reason I am running for the office of Governor. It will take a person who has proven leadership, shown through previous legislation, to continue to work to keep the gift of personal freedoms protected by our Constitution. I am that person.
Last week, the State House overwhelmingly passed the Oklahoma Healthcare Freedom of Choice Act (HJR 1054). The State Senate will review it in the upcoming weeks. This legislation would place language on the next ballot to amend the Oklahoma Constitution to allow the citizens the right to choose their own health care.
As your Governor, I will continue to challenge the status quo and stand in the gap between you and an over-reaching government, to lead our state to the freedoms our founders gave to us. - Randy Brogdon
